Bee Safe Bee Removal | Honey bee hive removed from storage crate

Service Details

This call was for a hive that had built out inside a crate, so my first step was figuring out how the crate was assembled and where the bees were entering and exiting. Since there was no construction involved, I focused on opening the crate carefully and keeping everything contained. After suiting up, I shifted the crate to a stable position, cracked it open, and located the comb and the densest cluster. I used a transport box to start consolidating the bees, then used the bee vacuum in short passes to gather the loose bees along the inside corners without tearing up the comb more than necessary. Once the main mass was secured, I checked the crate seams and the ground around it for pockets of bees that were still trying to regroup. I removed the remaining comb material from the crate, applied a light pheromone blocker inside the crate to reduce re-attraction, and closed it back up for safe handling. When I wrapped up, there were still a few bees flying nearby, which is normal after a removal, but the active hive was contained and moved offsite.
