Bee Safe Bee Removal | Wall Hive Removal Behind Residential Deck

Service Details

The call came in as a possible hive attached to the back deck, but once I arrived and watched the flight pattern for a few minutes, it was clear the bees were entering through a narrow seam where the deck ledger met the exterior wall. This was late June, so steady activity was expected. I set up the ladder and confirmed with a thermal camera that the heat signature extended vertically inside the wall cavity. The thermal images showed a defined mass roughly three feet in length between the studs. After opening the siding from the exterior, I exposed the comb structure and began a controlled live removal using the bee vacuum. The hive was well established, with brood and stored honey throughout the cavity. I removed all comb, scraped residual wax from the framing, and applied pheromone blocker to reduce the chance of reoccupation. Once the cavity was clear, I closed the wall and completed the structural repair so the area was sealed properly. The deck itself was not involved. The repair left the wall ready for minor cosmetic finishing.
