Service Details

This service addressed a honey bee hive built inside the soffit area of the home. Bee traffic was concentrated along the underside of the roof edge, indicating the colony was set back within the soffit cavity rather than exposed. Access was established by opening a controlled section of soffit to avoid unnecessary damage to surrounding materials. A full hive was visible once the cavity was opened, confirming the source of the activity. A bee vacuum was used throughout the removal to collect bees as the comb and hive material were taken out in sections. This kept the process contained and limited movement into adjacent roof spaces. After the hive was fully removed, the cavity was inspected and cleaned to eliminate remaining residue that could attract returning bees. The insulation in the affected soffit area had been compromised by the hive and was removed and replaced before closing the space. Repairs were completed to restore the soffit to its original alignment and seal off entry points. Final observation showed no continued bee activity around the roofline, and the structure was left secure and clean.
