Bee Safe Bee Removal | Two Wall Hives Between First and Second Floor

Service Details

This job took place in early June in Grand Prairie, when colonies are active and expanding. The main hive was located behind the exterior siding, between the first and second floor framing. Bee traffic was concentrated along a seam in the siding, about midway up the wall. After setting up access, I removed a controlled section of siding to expose the cavity. The comb extended vertically between studs, with brood and honey stores typical for that time of year. I performed a live removal, vacuuming the bees and cutting out the comb in sections to keep it contained. All organic material was cleared from the void before sealing the area. Once the first hive was fully removed and the wall cavity cleaned, I noticed similar flight activity on the south side of the house in nearly the same vertical position. Inspection confirmed a second colony established in that wall section. The process was repeated, opening the siding, removing bees and comb, and clearing the cavity completely. After both removals, I applied pheromone blocker inside each void and closed up the siding. Repairs were completed on both sections to restore the exterior and reduce the chance of future entry. Some returning foragers were still present at each location immediately after the work, which is normal following a same day removal.
