Service Details

This job involved a honey bee hive established inside a knothole located high on the exterior of the structure, roughly eighteen feet above ground level. Bee traffic was concentrated at the small opening, with steady movement in and out, which confirmed the hive was fully contained within that cavity. Because of the height and limited access, positioning and stability were addressed before starting removal. A bee vacuum was used to collect bees as the hive material was carefully removed from inside the knothole. The opening was worked slowly to keep the process controlled and prevent bees from spreading to nearby areas. Once the hive was fully cleared, the cavity was inspected to confirm no remaining comb or activity was present. A plant friendly pesticide was applied to the area to discourage lingering bees that could not be physically collected and to reduce the chance of reoccupation. After treatment, the knothole was sealed to close off access and protect the surface from future use. Final observation showed bee activity tapering off with no continued interest at the sealed location. The area was left secure and stable with minimal visual impact.
