Service Details

Early May job with a hive built high up where the brick wall meets the soffit. Bees were active but contained to that corner. From the way they were entering and exiting, it was clear the colony was sitting right at the top of the wall. Cutting from the roof or opening the interior would have caused more damage than needed, so the decision was made to access it from the exterior masonry instead. I removed the top section of brick to open the cavity and get direct access to the hive. The hive was removed completely, and the area inside the wall was cleaned out. Insulation that had been pushed aside by the hive was replaced. As expected, some bees stayed around the area for a while after removal, but activity steadily dropped off once the hive was gone. Once the removal was finished, the brickwork was rebuilt from the top down. The bricks were reset to close the opening and restore the wall to its original shape. The repair sealed the access point where the wall meets the soffit and left the structure intact without affecting the roof or interior of the building.
