Service Details

This job involved a honey bee colony established inside the soffit area of the home. Bee activity was steady along the underside of the roofline, which pointed to a hive built back inside the cavity rather than on the surface. Because of the confined space and active flight path, a full bee suit was used before opening the soffit. Access was gained by removing a controlled section to expose the hive without damaging surrounding materials. Once opened, a well-formed hive was visible inside the soffit, and documentation photos were taken before removal. A bee vacuum was used to collect the bees as the comb was removed in sections to keep the process contained. After the hive was fully removed, the cavity was inspected and cleared of residue. The insulation in that area had been affected by hive activity and was removed and replaced before closing the soffit. Repairs were completed to restore the original appearance and seal the space fully. Final observation showed no remaining bee movement around the soffit, and the structure was left secured and clean.
