Service Details

This job involved a honey bee hive built directly under the roof tiles on a first floor section of the home. Bee traffic was coming out from the tile overlap, which made it clear the colony was established in the roof structure itself. To reach the hive properly, the roof tiles had to be removed in a controlled section. This allowed full access to the colony without cutting from below or leaving hidden comb behind. Once the tiles were lifted, the hive location and size were confirmed and the bees were removed live, along with all visible comb and residue. After removal, the exposed cavity was inspected and cleaned. The insulation in that section had been compromised and was taken out completely. New insulation was installed to restore the space and reduce the chance of heat buildup or future nesting. With the cavity cleared and sealed, attention shifted back to the roof. The tiles that were removed for access were reset and secured so they matched the surrounding area and maintained proper coverage. The structure was closed up fully before leaving the site. The repair restored the roofline, protected the interior space, and reduced the likelihood of future bee interest in that area. As with any live removal, some remaining bees were expected to return briefly before dispersing on their own.
