Service Details

This job came in mid May, which tracks with active hive building around rooflines. The colony was set up just below the eaves on the second floor, right at the V-shape where two roof lines meet. That spot traps heat and gives bees a clean entry point, so it made sense once I got eyes on it. From the outside, there was steady movement but no obvious staining yet, which told me the hive was established but still contained within the framing. Access required cutting a triangular section that matched the eave angle so the opening stayed controlled and easy to close back up. Once inside, the hive was fully exposed and removed in sections. The cavity had compressed insulation from the weight and moisture, so that material was pulled and replaced before closing. After the removal, I prepped the space to discourage re-entry and closed the opening using the same cutout, keeping the lines tight to the existing trim. The repair blended back into the eave without throwing off the roof profile, which was the goal from the start. From the ground, the area looked untouched once everything was sealed. There was still some light bee traffic afterward, which is normal as foragers return, but the structure itself was secured and ready to weather normally again.
