Service Details

This September job involved a honey bee hive built beneath the roof tiles on the first floor. By early fall, colonies in this area are usually well established, and that was confirmed once activity was traced to a gap under the tile line. Thermal imaging showed a clear heat pattern concentrated in one section, which allowed the work to stay limited to the affected area without disturbing surrounding materials. Access was gained by lifting the roof tiles just enough to reach the cavity. A bee vacuum was used to manage active bees while the hive was exposed. The comb was fully built out but confined to a single pocket, so removal was straightforward. Once the hive material was taken out, the cavity was cleaned to reduce lingering attraction. Insulation in that section had been affected by the hive and was removed during the process. Fresh insulation was installed after removal.
