Service Details

This job involved a large honey bee infestation concentrated in the soffit at the corner of the eave. Bee activity was heavy and constant, with swarming visible along the corner seam, which indicated a well established hive inside the soffit cavity. The volume of bees made it clear the colony had been active for some time. A full assessment confirmed the hive was contained within the soffit and had begun affecting the insulation behind it. Access was gained by opening a controlled section of soffit directly at the corner to avoid spreading activity across the roofline. A bee vacuum was used immediately to manage the swarm and keep bees from dispersing while the hive material was removed. Comb and bees were taken out in stages to keep the process stable and contained. Once the hive was fully removed, the cavity was cleaned to reduce lingering attraction. The insulation in the affected area was compromised and removed, then replaced before closing the soffit. Repairs were completed to restore the corner and seal off access points. After reassembly, bee activity dropped off quickly, and no continued swarming was observed around the eave.
