Service Details

This job took place in a public park where bees had established a hive inside the base of a wooden fence that was part of a castle-style playground structure. The location required careful planning due to foot traffic and the nature of the structure. A thermal image confirmed active clustering inside the lower section of the fence, which helped pinpoint the hive without unnecessary opening of surrounding areas. Once access was opened, I used a bee vacuum to remove the live bees from the cavity in a controlled way. After activity dropped, the hive was fully removed along with wax buildup inside the fence base. The interior space was checked to make sure no remaining material was left behind that could attract returning bees. The thermal camera was used again to confirm there were no remaining heat signatures consistent with hive activity. After removal, the fence base was closed back up and secured. The repair restored the structure to its original condition and maintained the appearance of the playground feature. Bee activity around the area decreased gradually over the rest of the day, which is typical as remaining foragers returned and dispersed.
