Service Details

This job involved a honey bee colony established beneath roof tiles on a second story section of the home. Activity was visible along the roofline, and inspection confirmed the bees were entering through a small gap under the tile edge. Because the hive was above living space, the work required controlled access and careful removal to avoid spreading debris into the structure. I removed the necessary roof tiles and opened the cavity to expose the comb. A bee vacuum was used to safely collect the bees as the hive material was taken out section by section. Once the cavity was cleared, all remaining wax and residue were removed to reduce the chance of future reoccupation. The original insulation in that section had been compromised by hive activity and was removed and replaced before closing the area. After confirming no remaining bee movement, I sealed the entry points and reinstalled the roof tiles to match the existing layout. The repair restored the roofline and enclosed the cavity fully. Final checks showed normal activity levels around the structure with no returning bees. The removal and repair were completed in the same visit, leaving the area clean and structurally sound.
