Service Details

This job involved a large honey bee hive established in the first floor soffit area of the structure. Bee traffic was heavy along the lower roof edge, which indicated a well developed colony with a significant amount of comb inside the soffit cavity. Because the hive was active and sizable, a live removal approach was used to keep the process controlled and contained. Access was gained by opening a defined section of soffit directly over the active area. A bee vacuum was used from the start to manage bee movement and collect workers as the hive was exposed. The comb structure was extensive and was removed in stages to prevent collapse and limit disruption. Throughout the removal, care was taken to keep bees from spreading into adjacent soffit sections. Once the hive was fully removed, the cavity was inspected and cleared of remaining residue. Repairs were completed to close the soffit and restore the area to its original condition. The structure was sealed to prevent reentry, and activity dropped off steadily after completion. Final checks showed no returning bees, and the soffit was left secure and intact.
