Service Details

This job was for a hive built under the roof tiles on a first floor section of the home. Bee movement was visible along the tile edge, and the location pointed clearly to activity within the roof structure itself. To access the hive correctly, several roof tiles were removed in a controlled area. That opened up the space enough to expose the full hive, which was well formed and clearly documented with photos before any work began. The bees were removed live, and the comb was taken out completely so nothing remained hidden under the tiles. With the hive removed, the cavity underneath was cleaned out and checked. The insulation in that section had been affected and was removed entirely. New insulation was installed to bring the space back to a usable condition and reduce the chance of future nesting. Photos were taken again after removal to show the cleared cavity and the difference before and after the work. Once the interior was addressed, the roof tiles were put back in place and secured so they lined up properly with the surrounding tiles. The structure was closed up cleanly and left stable. Some bee activity was expected to continue briefly as returning bees checked the area before moving on.
